After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1975, he shared office space with his father, John Bida, MD and joined the staff of South Arlington Medical Center. In 1984 Dr. Daft Bida moved to his current location conventionally located in North Arlington at 912 W. Randol Mill Road. Dr. Bida established the Sports Dentistry Clinic to provide sports appliances for the U.T.A. athletic program, as well as emergency treatment. Currently he volunteers his time and expertise to several area high schools athletic programs Sam Houston, Lamar and colleges Arlington Baptist College and the University of Dallas. In 1980, Dr. Bida founded the Arlington Implant Institute to train dentists in the field of Oral Implantology. Under his direction the Institute provides the latest in implant technology as well as comprehensive family dentistry. In 1989 Dr. Bida incorporated the new advanced laser technology into his practice and began a series of seminars to train other dentists to use the lasers in their practices. Dr. Bida is a regular contributing author to various dental journals, having published many articles on laser dentistry, Implantology, and athletic injuries. Dr. Bida is one of only a handful of dentist in Texas who are board certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Dr. Bida has served as President of The Academy of General Dentistry, The North Texas Implant Study Group, and The Texas Academy of Laser Dentistry.
